Why We Tested for Forever Chemicals Before Anyone Asked
PFAS showed up in condoms in 2024. Most brands responded with silence. We responded with a lab report.
What PFAS Actually Are
PFAS are a family of synthetic chemicals that barely break down. They build up in the body over time, and research keeps linking them to long-term health risks.
Why It Matters Down There
Mucous membranes absorb more than skin does. Putting something on your body that touches the most absorbent parts of it should come with real answers.
What We Did
What Are Forever Chemicals?
PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” are a family of thousands of synthetic compounds that don’t break down in nature or in the body. They show up in non-stick pans, rain jackets, food packaging, and, as some independent tests have found, in some personal care products.
Nobody was asking condom brands about PFAS. We thought that was exactly why someone should.
How We Tested
We sent samples from several production batches to an independent, accredited lab. They screened the latex, the lubricant, and the individual wrapper for a broad panel of PFAS compounds, not just the handful most brands check for.
We also had the lab look at our supply chain inputs, since contamination can come in through processing aids and packaging long before a product reaches the shelf.
What We Found
Every batch came back below the detection limit. No intentionally added PFAS, and no meaningful trace contamination from the factory floor or the foil.
Why It Matters
You put this product somewhere very personal. We think you deserve to know what’s in it, and what isn’t. We’ll keep testing every new batch and publish the results as they come in.
We sent RawDog™ to an independent lab. The result came back clean. Ask any brand for the same paperwork. See who answers.
